Wall of Shame

Every so often we roll up on a gate job that makes us stop and stare. These are real examples of bad gate work we've come across around the Ark-La-Tex: undersized posts, sloppy wiring, missing safety devices, and shortcuts that cost the owner more in the long run.

We're not here to call anybody out. Names, addresses, and companies stay out of it. The point is simple: a gate system is only as good as the install behind it. If any of this looks familiar, give us a call and we'll help get it right.

An articulating-arm operator mounted completely backwards. The arm belongs in front of the operator, not behind it. Shocker: it didn't work. It's a shame anybody ever paid for this.

That's an anchor bolt, flipped upside down and pressed into service as the operator's arm pin. The opener kit comes with the right brackets and pins in the box. So where'd they go?
