Yuasa NP7-12 12V 7Ah Battery

Why I use this

For some reason good batteries are hard to find. Yuasa has a long standing as a top-tier battery brand. A lot of these gate systems require batteries, and using a good brand can get you closer to 5 years of life instead of 2 or 3. And these cost just as much as you’d pay for them locally — so I don’t cheap out on the brick that keeps the gate alive when power dips.

Gate batteries that actually last

Good 12V sealed batteries are weirdly hard to find. A lot of gate openers, access controllers, and solar gate kits need a reliable standby battery — and cheap no-name bricks are why you get called back in two or three years. Yuasa has been a top-tier SLA brand for a long time; we use the NP7-12 (12V 7Ah) when the system calls for that size.

What’s in the pack

  • 2-pack Yuasa NP7-12
  • 12V / 7Ah sealed lead-acid (maintenance-free, leak-resistant)
  • Built for float/standby and cyclic use — security, CCTV, UPS-style loads, and gate backup

Where it shows up on our jobs

LiftMaster-style backup, solar gate cabinets, UniFi Access/Protect sites with battery backup, and any enclosure where the board specs a 7Ah brick. Confirm the amp-hour and terminal style your opener or controller wants before ordering — 7Ah isn’t universal, but it is the most widely used in gate openers.
