Pad-Mount Slide Gate Systems
Pad-mount chain-drive slide gate openers for driveways and commercial entries — operators set on solid concrete, chain hardware matched to the gate, and installs that don’t fight mud, grass, and bad track every season.
Slide gates that run clean — and stay that way
A pad-mount slide gate opener is the right call when the leaf rolls sideways instead of swinging: apartments, self-storage, industrial yards, and residential drives where there’s no room for a swing arc. We install and service these across Shreveport, Bossier, and about 50 miles out.
Why the pad matters
Slide operators are heavy and they live outdoors. A proper poured concrete pad (sized for the chassis and anchor pattern) keeps the motor level, dry, and aligned with the gate. Set it too low in the dirt and you’re fighting standing water, lawn growth, and rusted fasteners within a couple of seasons.
We set height and position so the chain drive pulls straight — no twist on the output shaft, no “it works if you give it a shove.”
Chain drive — what we install
Our pad-mount slides are chain-drive systems: the classic commercial workhorse. Tough, serviceable, and easy to lengthen for longer gates. Keep the chain tension right and the idlers clean and it’ll run for years.
We size the operator and chain hardware to the gate weight and cycle count, then set the pad so the chain line stays true for the full travel.
Hardware we trust
For worry-free slide systems we lean on Maximum Controls pad-mount slides when the job calls for that class of gear — solid chassis, boards you can actually service, and troubleshooting that isn’t a mystery. Prefer DoorKing, LiftMaster CSL-class, or another brand you already standardize on? We’ll install the model you specify.
Track, rollers, and the gate itself
The opener is only half the story. V-groove track (or cantilever hardware) has to be straight, level, and supported. Soft soil, a sagging leaf, or a roller that binds will make any motor look bad. On a new install we check the gate path before we pour; on a retrofit we tell you straight if the leaf needs work first.
What we typically include
- Concrete pad and anchors sized for the operator
- Chain-drive hardware matched to gate length and weight
- Photo eyes / safety edges to code
- Entry options — wireless keypad, tenant systems, or AI Smart Access
- Free-exit loop or other exit device when you want out without a code
- Optional video / monitoring — see Monitoring and solar gate access
Looking for swing instead?
Pad-mount swing is a different animal — arm geometry instead of track. See Pad-Mount Swing Gate Systems.
