Along with installing new Gates and Access Systems, we do offer gate maintenance and repair services. Gate systems need occasional maintenance depending on use and environmental conditions.
It's important to note that if we determine there are problems with the installation of existing equipment that are causing issues, we will point these out and recommend full replacement.
Non-persistent problems are better diagnosed when caught in the act. Please keep us informed if your gate goes back to working before we arrive.
Simple Service
$200 + cost of batteries
- Grease gate hinges
- Seal up any openings to electrical parts (if possible)
- Clean out debris
- Safety-Eye Device Check and Alignment
- Battery Changing (If needed)
Batteries must be replaced in most systems every 3-5 years. If we determine that batteries are 3+ years old, we immediately recommend replacing them. Often times replacing the battery/batteries can be done yourself and should be checked yearly for corrosion.
Moderate Service
$250 + cost of batteries
- Everything from Simple Service
- Roller and Chain lubrication (Slide gate)
- Chain adjustment (usually tightening by removing links)
Sliding Gate systems have more serviceable parts and wear down more. They often require more maintenance than swing gates, depending on usage.
Advanced Service
$450 + cost of parts/batteries
- For complex systems with many accessories
- Welding repairs
Some systems can be very complex with vehicle detectors, safety equipment, power backup, etc.
